It was a toned-down Christmas party this year.  Without glitz and glamour!  But it was truly a fun and memorable night!  Even though a lot of companies decided not to have a party this year because of the series of calamities that our country is facing, our company's president still wanted to give back something to his beloved employees: For him it's a sign of thanksgiving to all who worked very hard for the company.   Themed: Back to 80's Party!  New wave music... and 80's rock ... really broke the house down... One of the important highlights of our party: We won 1st price in the Christmas Caroling contest!!! Where we sang OPM christmas carols (1 day practice only)... Congratulations to my group mates!!! It was a WELL DESERVED WIN for BASE 5! These days netizens are so fond of doing selfies... Sad to say, I am not. :( But I love sharing my styling on my Instagram and Facebook accounts.   It's been a tradition here in our office to allow us to be on civilian clothes from December 16th til the 29th.  So I am really excited since I will be able to share something about my passion. This is actually a late post: I wasn't able to go online yesterday since I am out with my cousin from Sydney. Last Tuesday, it's blue + dots! Top: Baby collar navy blue sleeveless blouson + trouser and polka dotted 3/4 blazer all from Mango. Every year we make it a point to treat our Tita Linda for her birthday.  Last year we had dinner at Italianni's in BGC... This year we treated her for a birthday lunch at Corazon located at the East wing of Edsa Shangrila Mall. (With surprise guests)  Actually I was also surprised: when my Tita Malou and cousins Ann & husband Mat with their little princess Tessa, Kaye and Enrico from Sydney came.  They just arrived from Sydney two days before the birthday of my Tita to surprise her and celebrate Christmas here in the Manila.  Corazon  (by Chef Florabel).  It specializes on Fil-Hispano cuisines. Much loved Paella Valenciana, Cabeza (calamares) , Castellano (Crispy pata), Escabeche and etc.  For dessert: my Tita loved their Halo-halo but I went for their Turon with peanut butter and mantecado ice cream. He was called back for casting!  (I'll be a stage Ninang, for sure!)   Out of 4,000+ kids who participated in the Gingersnaps Model Search, Lance was one of the 50 lucky kids.  He just turned 5 last Tuesday aside from his Minion cake surprise (which made him super happy), I know he will surely be happy about this news.  Double happiness for our boy! Before the year ends I am always excited to know the upcoming year's color.  Last year was Emerald green... this year it's Radiant Orchid.  This actually helps and guides me: on what are the dominant colors for 2014... since I am on fashion accessories making and retailing. Radiant Orchid is a pink purple shade, very feminine... I love it !♥ According to Pantone: "Radiant Orchid emanates great joy, love and health." So we will see more of this color this coming year!  How exciting is it to check out the shops ... seeing all these outfits and things having this shade... and the likes of fuchsia, pink and purple undertones. Well they say... ART runs in our family!   I should've taken up Interior Design in College, but since my ate was already in Fine Arts Advertising in UST... (due to the high cost of art materials... i need to take up another course and that is Accounting) .  Now her eldest son Red is taking up Animation at iAcademy and my niece her youngest daughter Ysl might take up either Multimedia or Visual Design next school year. I am more on designs and styling (i can't really draw people) ... my sister is way better than me!  She can really draw!  And she was able to pursue her dream... Now that she's just a plain housewife and his two children are grown up (1 in college and youngest 4th year high school), she had the time to paint... Undeniably all are really gorgeous! Now I know how it feels...  Just experienced it this morning.  SAD and pissed!  I posted pictures of the bracelets I sell on my online shop and in a matter of minutes... it appeared on somebody else's online store.  She grabbed my photos directly from my facebook page.  Well, I guess it's my fault since I forgot to put watermarks on my photos.   Lesson learned... Maybe if she asked me if she could use my photo... I would have allowed her... But photo grabbing without the permission of the owner...Haay... really synonymous to STEALING!  It's a personal property of the person who took the photo.  I'm 100% sure it was my photo, because I am the one who took it, on top of my worktable...(I should know...) At times, yes we grab photos from the internet, websites and etc... I do that sometimes for my blog... but I give credit to the site where I got the photos...   Maybe she does not know what R-E-S-P-E-CT means...

 I have a meeting to attend today.  Office uniform from Monday to Friday I always look forward going to work on Saturdays because I will be able to do some fashionising for myself.  For today for a change I need to go to work on civilian clothes...Corporate business attire: I don't want to wear the good-classic black trouser and a plain or printed top.  That's really too boring for me! Plaid or checkered prints are back for FALL/WINTER 2013! I really love the red checkered trouser that I got from Mango. In the 90's I remember having same red trouser...In fashion everything goes round in circles... It's been 3 days since a 7.2 earthquake hit the Visayas region.  I was at home (since its a holiday) when my mom asked me to open the television so we can hear the latest on the quake in Bohol.  When I saw the footage of the devastation especially the old and historic churches I was totally devastated.  I completely remember my experience of the July 16, 1990 earthquake that struck Manila.   Last night I watched the Loboc children's choir sang Josh Groban's The Prayer at TV patrol its was really moving.. and then slowly tears went falling down my face... (The choir had won various awards abroad). Photo entries of my nephew Jean Clarence or Lance as we call him were already approved and uploaded on Gingersnaps model search site.  Actually this was Lance's second time to join an online contest.  The first was in 2010 where he won 2nd place but unfortunately it was a bogus Facebook site and we did not get the price.  We just tried it: to see if Lance has a chance to win on any online contest.   Lance is a looker... every where we go he always catches the attention of people.   Lance's winning picture at Baby Talk Contest in 2010 He's now 4 years old turning 5 on December.  He is a Star Pupil in his class: K1 - Starbright at Bright Star Learning Center in Marikina City.  At 2 he can finish a 15 piece puzzle, aside from that he loves reading.   For toys: He loves Thomas the train, he enjoys constructing the wooden tracks by himself, Toy Story characters and at the moment Minions are his favorite.
