Bag of Beans (with the Accounting group) ♥

After our day tour at Canyon Cove last Saturday, we decided to have an early dinner at Bag of Beans, Tagaytay before we head back to Manila.  I have heard good things about this resto but I have not really tried it.  So I am a little excited.  Before we went to the restaurant,  we bought "pasalubong" (souvenir) at their bakery.  I bought two raisin loaves and a banana loaf.  Will tell my verdict as I go along. This pot of blooms welcomed us, as we enter their bakery...  As I have earlier mentioned I bought 2 Raisin loaves that is P145.00 each for the small,  large one is at P290.00 and 1 banana loaf at P210.00. Fingers-crossed hoping that these goodies will impress my taste buds.  I bake and cook so I am a little hard to please when it comes to food. (*wink!) As we went down the wooden stairs - these colorful lanterns welcomed us. Gardenish feel...very chic and vintage: with plenty of rooms suitable for groups ...

Dolcelatte♥

Good food, great company!  Still can't get enough of our pigging out yesterday.  Oh, I met my high school barkada at Mega Fashion hall yesterday after almost a year.  Both of them are based abroad, Ruthie a consultant in Avon, Japan and Tweet is based in Guam and a FA in Continental micronesia.  One of the reasons why we get along - is our love for food. We craved for pizza and pasta: we had lunch at Linquini fini... and then dessert - my friend Ruthie suggested we try Dolcelatte at the 5th floor.   I cook and bake, so I'm a bit hard to please when it comes to food.  Hmmm.. It was supposed to be dessert time!!! : but when my friend Tweet saw the mouth-watering pizzas on the menu, she insisted to order.  She told us that it was pizza she had in mind. (that she should've had earlier). She ordered the Parma artichoke gourmet pizza : It's so good! (5 stars for this!)   We just had lunch but was able to finish 2 slices of this.  ...

Chicken & Vanilla♥

It's was a busy long weekend for me.  Aside from spring cleaning my bedroom and our home, had my bonding time with my only niece Ysl who just turned 18 this month.  We dined out and shopped: just the 2 of us... It's been a while since we've done this.  Now I know that I am getting old, the baby that I used to carry in my arms is now a young lady.   We decided to try out a new resto, for a change (not the usual place where we eat). While strolling at the Mega Fashion Hall, we saw Chelsea Kitchen : I asked her if she like to try this one... "If there's chicken it's a go Ninang".  Well that's one thing we have in common, we both love "chicken" meals. And thank God for this long, I don't develop allergies in eating chicken (almost everyday).  My Tita would always tell me when I was still a kid: "Tutubuan ka na ng pakpak". Salad!  We love to start our meal with greens!  Honestly their Caesar Salad is one of the best ...

Dong Juan in Quezon City♥

I am not really a foodie... I don't go out very often but I enjoy dining out once in a while.  I love to cook, honestly I am quite hard to please when it comes to food.  When I say something is totally "delish" (delicious): Promise it is really something that you must try! Actually I learned about this resto by watching "DZMM Teleradyo" and by following the likes of Martin Nievera and Sam Milby on Instagram.  Dong Juan Restaurant, was originally from Cebu city.  Well it's been years since I have been to Cebu, but I have not tried this yet.  Anyway, Mr. Ahwel Paz one of the hosts of "Mismo" on DZMM was one of the owners of the resto (they mentioned this on one of their segments in Mismo show).  That made me curious to try this one out.  Yesterday, was my sister in law's birthday treat and when she asked me for a suggestion, I told her about this resto located in Mother Ignacia near St. Mary's Academy. It was an old ancestral home convert...

Dining experience at Patio Vera♥

I almost forgot to write about this: was supposed to share this dining experience last year, but because of the hectic holiday season I did not find time to do it.  It was our Department's last quarter meeting x Christmas get together rolled into one.  Every year my boss makes it a point that we have a simple celebration before the year ends.  Last year we dined at Patio Vera in Calumpang, Marikina City: a very intimate, cozy,  eclectic place that is just a couple of meters away from where I live. (not familiar with the place until that day)   I realized I am out of the coverage area already. (hahaha)  I never really expected that it was beautiful inside. (It's within a neighborhood where you see tricycles lined-up and sari-sari stores around the vicinity)  It was an old house turned into a resto bar.  We weren't able to take a lot of photos since it's a little dark and I did not have a chance to go around the place since there is a ph...
