One of the most read entries here in my blog is the Sanrio characters we miss...  As I have said on my previous blog entry, I've been a Sanrio fan since my grade school days.  This time I would like to feature the other Sanrio characters that you don't regularly see anymore.  So the Gen Z's will be have an idea that these characters exist.  Previously I featured: Tiny Poem and Zashikibuta.  Now let's give the   spotlight to these second batch of Sanrio Characters. source: Google Sanrio is back at McDonald's!  I am really excited and giddy when I first learned about McDo's new happy meal. Aside from a Sanrio fan, I also love collection tea sets. (*wink) These are the first 2 that I got last Sunday - Hello Kitty teapot and My Melody tea cup with HK and bear cover. Next I got this Badz-Maru milk jug with HK cover Last but surely not the least to complete the set - Pompompurri tea cup with HK cover. Sanrio Japan recently launched this collaboration : Hello Kitty & Strawberry Shortcake . source: sanrio.co.jp Strawberry Shortcake is a the red haired little girl wearing a red dress with a white pinafore and a pink bonnet decorated with strawberries was a big hit in the 80's.  I remember buying stationery, greeting cards and other cute items.   Of course Hello Kitty, I need not tell something about her because she's super popular to girls, women of all ages. I am a Sanrio fan!  Can you see they are so many... Oh my!  I am a fan but honestly I don't know them all. Love reminiscing about Sanrio: Saving my allowance just to buy a cute stationery, pencil, pencil cap, eraser: when I was in elementary and high school.  I remember I have this Tuxedo Sam school bag and matching wallet, Hello kitty pencils, pencil case and My Melody compact mirror.  (Well I still have the compact mirror and wallet with me.. can't remember where the bag is, I blame Ondoy).  Banco Filipino - Happy Savers Club depositor; Trips to Gift gate whenever we go to Unimart in Greenhills or AliMall: heaven to me that time (until now)... seeing those cute and dainty Sanrio stuff.   If you're a 70's or 80's baby: Who never loved Sanrio that time? Aren't they cute?  If you like cute things like me, I am sure you will like this... (*wink!) I went to National bookstore yesterday to buy gel pens and when I passed by the notebook shelves I saw these super cute notebooks with My Melody cover.  Got giddy because aside from Hello Kitty I also love My Melody.  I remember I have this My Melody compact when I was in high school and I still have it now, minus the comb.  Finding these cutie notebooks brought back memories.  Saving my allowance to buy pencil caps, scented pens, note pads from Gift gate.  I am also a Happy Saver's club depositor at Banco Filipino to get Sanrio freebies.  Now you need not go to Gift gate (Now Sanrio surprises) just to have these notebooks and other Sanrio items they are all over the place.  How I wish they have this before when I was still studying.
