My Pag-ibig MP2 have matured♥

Five years already?  That was fast.  I remember when I started with Pag-ibig MP2 back in March 11, 2020.  After my first remittance of P500.00 via Palawan - then pandemic started.  I was not able to continue my monthly remittance because of the lock down.  When it was lifted I resumed my MP2 remittance and decided to increase my remittance to P1,000.00 per month.  At this time GCash has already started accepting MP2 remittance payments so it's very convenient with a P5.00 transaction fee as compared to Palawan's P7.00 per transaction.

When your MP2 savings matures, there are two ways to claim it: via Online Claim via Virtual Pag-ibig or Over the Counter Claim.  Since there's Pag-ibig Kiosk near my office, I preferred the OTC Claim.  But if you would like to do an Online Claim you can find the instructions online via Virtual Pag-ibig website.

Here are the things I prepared for my Over the Counter Claim:
  1. Accomplished Claim Form: Click here to download the form
  2. Valid Government ID (please bring a photo copy - front and back)
  3. Pag-ibig Loyalty Plus Card (please bring photo copy - front and back)
  4. Go to the nearest Pag-ibig branch near you and submit the form and required documents.
Once you have submitted them to the Pag-ibig branch they will provide you a hard copy of your MP2 savings, so you will have an idea how much  the total amount that you will get.  In my case, since I have a Virtual Pag-ibig app on my phone I already have an idea, but at least I was provided a copy .  The Pag-ibig staff also informed me that instead of crediting it to my Loyalty Plus Card, I will be issued a cheque.  Actually I really preferred a cheque.  Lead time: 20 to 30 working days.  (Additional information: Transacting via Pag-ibig Kiosk in Robinsons Metro East : it took me 30 minutes (this includes waiting time with 6 people in line ahead of me.)

The waiting game starts...
Will update soon once I get my cheque.
