Mules for replacement

I don't know if anyone have already experienced replacing luxury brand items bought from Europe here in the Philippines.  My sister's husband recently bought a pair of Gucci mules in Italy, in her usual size.  Unfortunately the mules was too small it did not fit her.  Our plan was to sell it at a lower price so she can at least buy one here in the Philippines.  I went to Gucci Edsa Shangrila Mall and asked if they have that style in stock so my sister will know how much she we will sell her new mules.  

Ms.Kath - Gucci's Sales Associate welcomed me in the store and I told her the story.  She told me that Gucci offers worldwide replacement.  I was surprised and immediately told my sister.  But my sister's mules style is not yet available here in the Philippines.  Since the replacement is only valid for 30 days, Ms Kath told me that she will send the styles that they have through Viber so I can show my sister.

Fast forward to 5 days after my Gucci boutique visit, my sister was able to choose from the styles Ms. Kath had sent me.   But it was available in their Greenbelt branch.  Instead of requesting for store transfer, we opted just to go to Greenbelt so my sister can try on the mules.

At Greenbelt, we were able to replace the mules.  We just presented the receipt from their Italy store.  They just checked it as well as the mules for a few minutes and we got it replaced.  She just added a few bucks because the espadrille mules is cheaper than the classic one.  (Please note: that they based the cost of the mules on Philippines pricing so the additional cash out is not that much.)

We all know that luxury brands does not come cheap.  This worldwide returns/replacement by Gucci is amazing.  

I am not sure if other luxury brands also offer this replacement policy.  Please do take note of this: Gucci's return policy : Allows returns within 30 days from purchase, provided the item is new, unused, with original tags and packaging. Most importantly you have to present a valid receipt. So next time you have purchased Gucci abroad, no need to worry if you want to replace it.   Just drop by their  boutiques here.  As long as it is legit item they will replace it.
