Finally I get to meet Miss Liz Uy... actually this was not my first encounter with her.  Few years back, i already met her in one of the events of Sta.Lucia: Victory Party when the realtors won the 2003 All-Filipino Championship.    In her book signing at SM Podium last Saturday March 8... polished as she is, stunning in her white sleeveless top, teal / blue green trousers and black strappy sandals... (of course a Chanel bag to complete the look).   Fabulouschq meets StyLized!♥ Got my book signed ... Short chat with her...(I told her that we already bumped into each in 2003) Here's how our conversation goes: Me: Hi Liz! We met each other before... Liz: Hi! Oh where? Me: In Sta.Lucia  Liz: Sino kasama ko? (and gave me an intriguing smile..I know she already knew who I am talking about) Me: (I'm really hesitant to say John Lloyd's name) Alam mo na yon!  Liz: Si JL? Me: Yah..  Liz:  Si Tita Mate...I'm still in touch with her and JL.

Last Saturday: March 8 was International Women's day ! Happy Women's day too all!!! Why Gabriela?  "Gabriela Silang" is a Pinay hero (wife of Diego Silang) was known for her braveness when assumed the leadership of rebel troops following the assassination of her husband during the Spanish occupation.  GABRIELA signifies courage to all Filipinas fighting for their rights... Being brave does not necessarily mean that you will always fight and argue with others... But for being strong in facing all the challenges and obstacles that life brings...   Perfect example is my Lola... she have been a source of strength for all of us...  I became brave to face anything that came into my way...even if she is no longer with us, all the life lessons she taught us will always be in our mind and heart: will be passed on to the next generation of Santos women.

LV petite-malle - classic monogram Structured pieces!!! That is what we could find at Louis Vuitton boutique soon... Nicolas Ghesquière (formerly from Balenciaga) debuts with these fabulous pieces, being the new creative director in the House of Louis Vuitton after the departure of Marc Jacobs.   Collection includes more structured, quirky and one-handle bags.   The statement piece in the collection was the Petite-Malle that comes in two versions: (1) classic-monogram style and (2) with removable covers. These are mini-trunks (he shrunk LV's classic malle) with straps that are also removable. LV petite-malle with removable cover I am not into small bags... but this one is totally gorg! Ash Wednesday or "Miyerkules ng Abo" is a holy day of obligation to all Catholics around the world: marks the start of the Lenten season (Kwaresma) 46 days before Easter Sunday.  Ash Wednesday is a practice of placing ashes on the foreheads as a reminder that "we are dust and unto dust we shall return"...  it is a sign of mourning and repentance to God.

I was so excited to have a copy Liz Uy's StyLized book so I posted a photo on my Facebook and Instagram: A lot of my friends started asking me how do I find the book? So I decided to write a review. Story begins here:  I wasn't able to grab a copy on the day that Miss Liz Uy launched this at Glorietta, so my copy's unsigned... but I am hoping to go to her SM Podium book signing scheduled on March 8... (Got it at NBS-Super branch in Cubao: two weeks after the book was released since it's out of stock when I went to National Bookstore in Robinson's Magnolia).  The book is very helpful especially to beginners... who really wanted to know what best fits their body type, personality and age... Styling is not new to me... I love it and most of my cousins and friends often seek my advice on what should go with this and that...(I'm flattered)  I finished the book i think 3 to 4 hours...with 100 pages of style info...
