Tartufo Ristorante: New Go-to place♥

On my recent meet up with high school friends, to celebrate the achievements of their children, welcome our balikbayan friend... or just to catch up as simple as that.  We wanted to try something different outside our comfort zone.  We are used to go to either Eastwood City in Libis, Sta. Lucia East Mall or Edsa Shangrila Mall - these are our usual hangout place.  For a change they asked to me to look for a new go-to place.  Since I was regularly at The Grove by Rockwell because Mr. Paws is located there (Grooming Salon of Mochi), I often pass by this Italian restaurant - Tartufo Ristorante that I am meaning to try.  Last April 2nd, I/we were able to try it.  

Truly an Italian ambiance as you walk inside the resto.  Good thing that when we went there for lunch: there are a few people inside (yes people we are still in the pandemic it's hard to eat out).  Because by late afternoon or early dinner, there are reservations already so we need to transfer to a different seat.  Yes, from lunch we were there til around 7pm.  If you meet with HS friends a day is really not enough for all of the chikas and catching up.

Here's what we had:  Antipasti (Appetizer) we had Calamari Fritti - it was good!  Insalate (Salad) - I asked the server for recommendations : she suggested the Insalata Burrata Caprese.  Honestly, its my first time to try it and it didn't disappoint, my friends liked it too. Of course if you are in an Italian Ristorante - Pizza and Pasta is a must. We chose Quatro Formaggi (Four cheese pizza) and for the Pasta we ordered their famous Chef's Pasta - which is flambeed in Cheese wheel with truffle oil - no extra ingredients but I loved it!  We also ordered Carbonara but there is nothing special about it, just the plain old carbonara, but the Chef Pasta is the new fave.

So we found a new "Go-to-place" for sure we will be back.  Highly recommended for dinner or lunch dates especially for couples... also find the place very romantic especially for intimate dinner.  A little pricey but for me it's worth it.
