Have you also been bitten by the Labubu bug? Honestly, before I don't really intend to get one... but the little monster has this charisma that would really get you hooked. Yes, I have been bitten by the bug.. (*wink!)
Labubu plushie bag charms are sold out at Pop Mart stores all over the world. I guess it also goes with the "Anik-anik" bag trend. You can only get these cutesy monsters via resellers - but they are overpriced. From actual retail price of P900.00 per blind box you can get them at around P2,000.00 and up.
So how can you know if your Labubu doll is original? Aside from having a mark on their right sole (you have to use a UV light to see the mark) and Pop Mart stamping on the left. By the way, based on my research fakes also have markings on their soles. There is another way of knowing if your Labubu is authentic.
But before that let me share with you the photos of my first ever Labubu Macaron - Toffee.♥

The front box design of the blind box is embossed and the colors are vivid. It's quite a sturdy box and not made from cheap carton. At the back of the box there is a hologram with a QR code which can be use to authenticate your Labubu.
See the details from the Labubu card insert to the tags.
The Authentic Labubu doll is made of high quality materials: the prints on the vinyl does not go off easily, fur is so soft, stitching is good, arms position can be changed and you can turn its head 360 degrees.
So here's the other way to authenticate your Labubu monster. Pop Mart came up with this to counter the selling of fake ones and protecting the consumers of buying fake versions.
On the top right of the box you can see a hologram sticker with QR code. On the bottom of the QR code you need to scratch it to see the serial number.
Once you scan the QR code, this will lead you this - Anti-counterfeiting inquiry site. All you have to do is to enter the last 4 digits of the code to validate if your Labubu is authentic.
Once you click verify you get a "check" if your Labubu is not fake.
So there! Now try checking the Labubu's you're getting and make sure you buy on reputable resellers.
Update! The Fake Labubu also have a QR and it can be scanned and authenticated, but make sure to check the website it should be : fwsy.popmart.com

Chiq♥
