Labubu x Pronounce - Wings of Fortune Pendant : Authentic vs Fake♥

I recently joined a Pop Mart Group (on Facebook) here in the Philippines and one of my fellow members uploaded a photo of a Labubu x Pronounce Wings of Fortune that she bought from a reseller.  She was asking for help if the Labubu she purchased was authentic.  On my previous blog How to know if your Labubu is authentic, I have already discussed this (for The Monsters Exciting Macaron), but of course there are a lot of resellers claiming that the items they are selling are original though in reality they are not.

I was lucky enough to get the Labubu x Pronounce Wings of Fortune via Pop Mart's Flagship store on the orange app (Shopee) at SRP.  So I was able to answer the question of my fellow member if the Labubu she purchased was authentic.  I will share the photos here so you will have an idea how a Authentic and Fake Wings of Fortune look like.

But before that here are some of the things that you need to consider when purchasing from a reseller.
  1. Price : if it's too good to be true. - Wings of Fortune pendant SRP P1,700.00 normally resellers sell them at around P6,000.00 and up;
  2. QR Code: Make sure that the QR code at the back of the box is working and please do take note of the website because even the fake Labubus have them. The official Pop Mart Authentication website is fwsy.popmart.com

  • Color : As you can see the Authentic Labubu x Pronounce color is Deep Purple while the Fake is Violet,
  • Materials : Original Labubu is made from high quality materials, eyes and nose prints or paint does not go off easily.  The clothes have finer fabric texture than fake as well as the material of the Wu Lou bag.
  • Stitching : Nicely crafted, made and sewn doll. When you look at the doll up close you cannot see the stitching.

  • Ears : The tip ears of the authentic Labubu is are touching each other.
  • Eyes : Authentic - Deep Purple / Fake : Violet, also take note of the positioning of the pupil.
  • Vinyl color : The Original is slightly pale as well as the pink blush on the cheeks.

The angle of the face you can see that the teeth are exposed (on the authentic), even on upright position  the face of the fake Labubu is leaning down so you cannot see the front teeth..

I hope this helps... I know it's hard to buy these cuties nowadays... and they are too expensive.  But try to check before buying so you will not be scammed.

Til next time...

xo,
Chiq♥
