Bag Trends 2026 : Early predictions♥ (Part 1)

I love sharing anything about bags.  As you know I am really into bags.  It does not matter if it's not a designer or luxury brand, but as long as I like it... I save to have it.  So the question is - What are the upcoming bag trends for 2026?  You may have it now in your closet or maybe you can find a better alternative if you cannot afford a luxury brand.

Fuzzy or Fluffy - whatever you call it.  Bags made with faux fur, this trend came about with the birth of plushie bag pendants - the Labubu and Jelly Cat.  The trend will definitely continue until 2026.  Well I have one, my Miss Fluffy bag or as some would call the Jellycat Birkin.

Well your guess is as good as mine.  It's the bag that is shaped like a croissant.  Fendi already came up with this bag shape decades ago and now it's making a comeback next year.  So if you have the Uniqlo crescent bag you can still be on trend on 2026.

The roomy bag that can carry all of your stuff throughout the day.  The slouchy oversized bag will be the statement piece next year.  If you can remember Marc Jacobs already came up with this bag, calling it -"The Sack Bag".

The East-West trend continues... no need for too much introduction. (hihi)  For those who don't know, this bag design came about in the 1950's but became significantly popular in the early part of 2024.  It's the elongated practical bag : roomy and you can easily see what's in it.  (No digging to access your things).

Marie Claire has posted this on their website calling it - "Pickpocket-Friendly Bags".  In my opinion, I think this trend would not last that long.  With a lot of crimes: like pickpocketing everywhere, who would carry a bag that has one handle and designed to stay open.  I find it too risky.

A bag is a part of our everyday lives.. it really depends on your personally and taste what bag is for you..  as I have said earlier it does not have to be expensive.

Stay tuned for the Part 2!♥
