Happy 2026! I know most of us have are own plan / resolution this new year. Of course we all want to start the new year right... This year I want to save more... invest... be more frugal. I am not getting any younger, I really want to build my retirement fund.
Here are some of things I am not buying for 2026:

- Plushie bag charms / Blind boxes : Yes! I admit, I splurged a lot on "anik-anik": from the Labubu monters, Hello Kitty plushies, Care Bears, Monchhichi and etc. I promised myself - No more "unleashing the child in me " for the moment. I hope that I could control myself. I admit I love anything cutesy... but I have to do this. There are boxes still unopened. It took up so much space in my room. (But of course, if it's a gift - I would gladly accept it.

- Tumblers : I have a lot of unused stainless tumblers at home. So I think I should refrain from purchasing new one this year. (Starbucks - please no Hello Kitty, Snoopy and Alice & Olivia collaboration this year.. haha)

- Dog clothes and merchs : I really love dressing up my dog.. I always want him to look great. I did spring cleaning last year.. and I decided - I should lessen or refrain buying dog clothes and merchs (collars, leashes and etc.) I will just make use what's available, I might tweak a little so it will look different: or maybe I could just make one from my old clothes. Great idea, right?!

- Phone : No new phone this year... Though my iPhone XS is on the verge of ... (haha I can't mention it) It's battery health is at 71%, and we all know what this mean - battery life becomes shorter especially when I am using cellular data. I love this phone because it's lighter than my iPhone 14 pro ( which I regretted buying because of it's weight.) Yes I have two phones, one for personal use and the other for business.

- Airplane ticket : Travel can wait... so no travel this year. Maybe next year or in 2028. If free travel - Why not! (*wink)
