I watched this film yesterday... honestly, in order the understand and appreciate the movie, you should have seen the first which was shown 20 years ago.
I loved the first one, that is why I am so excited to see the sequel. Though entertaining, I found it lacks something.. "parang bitin".
This film shows us how print media (hardcopy magazines) is now replaced by digital content. The shift that has a big impact on people who does not want to embrace change. It's like vlogging is more popular than blogging. Personally, I still blog but that does not mean that I am not open to change, but I feel I can express myself more on writing than doing video or reels.

I truly enjoyed the fashion scenes: filming the scenes in the actual fashion week (at the Dolce & Gabbana Milan show) for authenticity. The cameo of Donatella Versace and Lady Gaga. The OOTD's of Andy - super love! My fave? - the patchwork maxi dress worn by Anne which was made by Gabriela Hearst. What I missed? The high-fashion photo shoots... the old "Miranda Priestly (Meryl Streep)".
I also felt that, the scenes of Emily Charlton (Emily Blunt) actually does not give much importance on the movie. It's like I wanted other scenes for her. Same with Andy Sachs (Anne Hathaway), I was expecting to see the bio of Miranda Priestly she wrote: be released which I think will make it more exciting.
Giving Nigel (played by Stanley Tucci) the spotlight really hit me. I can relate. Being on the sidelines always at work... without given importance for years of loyalty and service (but he still chose to stay with Miranda). I hope to experience it too.. the chance that Miranda gave him on the Milan Show.
Overall: I like it.. not as much as the first one. But seeing the OG cast evolve (after 20 years).. is refreshing.
