This is one of the food requests of my nephew Lance,  he loves bread like me.  Last Saturday I don't have work so I decided to make his favorite - French Toast.  We both love French Baker's French toast so this is my version of it. Ingredients: 8 slices of Gardenia White Bread (any bread of white bread can do) 2 eggs, beaten 3/4 cups evaporated milk 1 tsp sugar 1/4 tsp vanilla extract  2 tbsp butter 2 tbsp cooking oil Cinnamon (optional) Light/Pancake syrup (optional)  Beat the eggs then add the milk, vanilla extract and sugar (you can add 1/4 tsp cinnamon powder).  Mix until the ingredients are incorporated. Pour some wet mixture on a plate and dip both sides of the white bread.  Make sure that both sides are coated evenly. Cook coated bread slices on cooking oil and butter on a non-stick frying pan on medium heat until brown. Tada! Hi again! I know it's been a while... I really tried my best to make sure to upload a content every week but unfortunately last week... was really heartbreaking for our family.  My Lola (grand mother) passed away, she was the sister of my Lola (my mom's mother).  Yes people.. Covid is real... that is why we have to follow the protocols to protect each other.  Anyway, what I want to share with all of you is my accordion money/receipts organizer.  When you are a follower of this blog you know that I am into organizing.  There is nothing fancy about this organizer but it was really a big help for me.  I use this to segregate my receipts and money.   The organizer has 10 separate compartments and comes with label inserts.  It's A6 size so it can fit in your bag, in my case I just place it in my office table drawer. I don't know if this would be something appropriate to share at this point but I know everyone was beginning to experience anxiety with the recent turn of events.  It is like we are back to square one in terms of Covid-19.  But I still decided to just to make everyone smile and feel beautiful. Two weeks ago I was craving for Dulcinea's Gambas...  As much as possible I don't really eat out because of the pandemic so I decided to make it.  And it's been a while since I shared something I cooked.  So here is my version of Gambas al Ajillo. Ingredients: 1/4 kilo Shrimps, medium or large shrimps approx 10 to 12 pcs  (peeled, deveined) 1 bulb of garlic (love it when there's more garlic) 1 pc. Siling Haba/Paningang (Long Chili), remove the seeds and chop in small pieces Olive oil approx 1/4 cup 1 tbsp. Butter (optional) Salt and pepper to taste Chopped parsley or spring onions (optional) for garnishing Heat the frying pan (medium heat) once hot put the olive oil then add the garlic.  Fry the garlic, once it's savory and turning a little brownish; Add the shrimps, when it's half way cooked; Add the chopped siling panigang (long Chili); Season with salt and pepper and add the butter. source: Google.com Today I want to share one of my saving or investment that I recently added to my "Tipid or Ipon" (Savings) list for my future of course.  Maybe you have heard about this Pag-ibig MP2 Savings, I have just started with it last year before the lockdown.  What is Pag-ibig MP2 Savings?   MP2 Savings program is a voluntary savings open for Pag-ibig members in addition to it's Regular Savings which earn higher dividends.  The program is open to all members of Pag-ibig fund and/or Pensioners regardless of age with at least 24 monthly regular savings prior to retirement.  It's a 5 year term savings that yield higher interest, and like the SSS Peso fund (which I also have) it is also tax-free.  According to Pag-ibig  the average dividend rate for the past 3 years is 7.65%. First of all, if you are planning to get a dog you should be ready for a long time dedication and commitment.  Having a fur baby is not just for fun and playing games.  We have to understand that these are living creatures that needs to be taken cared of and nurtured.  In short it is like having your own child. I had Mochi last October 12, 2020  - he arrived at our home a few days before he turned 2 months.  It was my first time to have a pet dog and I can say I am really a newbie - furry god mum.  Mixed emotions... actually...
