Review: L'Oreal Ever Pure Frizz Defy Conditioner♥

I recently discovered this conditioner from L'Oreal.  Yes you read it right, not Pantene.  Don't get me wrong I still love Pantene but recently I am in search of something that will tame my frizzy hair.  Well my hair is not curly its naturally straight but there are some parts that really look frizzy. I wanted them to be smoothed out.  I don't want to use hair dryer or flat iron regularly because I am afraid that it would damage my hair.  I tried hair rebonding to tame my buhaghag (frizzy) hair which really worked but I only do that once a year.  But when I turned 50 I realized that my hair became more dry, that is why I also take supplements - Vitamin E and Collagen.  

While I was in Watsons, found this Ever Pure Frizzy defy Conditioner of L'Oreal it's sulfate free.  Sulfate on shampoos can strip off - hair's  natural moisture that can leave it dry and possibly damage it.  At the reverse side of the package it says that it has marula oil (high in anti-oxidants) that gently conditions frizz-prone hair for humidity plus frizz control, manageability and smooth luminosity and gentle and safe on color.  

Packaging: Tube in luminous purple with red orange flip over - It's super nice.

Consistency: Creamy and rich, but light on hair when you apply it.

Effectiveness:  Results are superb after first use.  My hair feels soft and extra smooth and aside from that it's super shiny.  I have not colored my hair ever since so I cannot say something about it's color protect feature.

Fragrance: Lightly scented not overpowering - I love it!

Price:  P350.00 for 250ml. - a little pricey but for me it does not matter as long as the product works effectively.

Overall rating : ♥♥♥♥.8 out of 5 hearts

2023 Fashion trends♥

What is in? What is out? - this coming 2023...  Yes, I do my research.  I may not be someone who attends fashion events but being into fashion I do read and search online.  

So here's what to expect.

Tailored, Slouchy, Oversized blazers are here to stay.  We've seen this trend since Fall of 2022 and this will continue next year.   The oversized blazer paired with trousers or worn over your shorts or even making the blazer as a mini dress - will still be on the spotlight.

Cargo pants are making a comeback!  Who did not fall in love with cargo trousers?  I remember having these pants in black, khaki, and army green in 2004 (that was long ago-ahahaha).  Love these relaxed fit pants that has military influences: Cool right?

Neon is still in!  This is one trend that I really love.  I am so into pop of colors on an outfit.  If you know me I love wearing black and neons are great addition to it.  So don't throw your neon outfits on your baul you can still use them next year.

Denim!  Well this never did went out of style.  But expect a different denim trend this 2023.  Aside from jeans, skirts, jumpsuit and jackets:  This year you need to be a little creative with your denim... in a Vogue post they call it DIY Denim... so it means that this will be a  Do-It-Yourself fashion trend.

Fringes baby!  We have seen this in the recent collection on Plains and Prints also in their collaboration with Rosanna Ocampo.  Though I am not a fan of this trend,  well if you are this is the perfect time to unleash that sultry and gatsby vibe in you.

The collaboration includes a variety of Hello Kitty items from bags, wallets, passport holders, bag charms and even coasters.  Unfortunately these are only available in Singapore they cannot ship this particular collection worldwide because of license issues.  

Kinda sad about this, hopefully I could ask my friend there to purchase for me (fingers-crossed).

Review: Bark & Spark Waterless Paw Cleanser♥

Before bed time I have a night clean up routine with my dog Mochi.  I brush his teeth, wipe his whole body with wet wipes and brush his fur before tucking him to bed.  Cleaning his paws is really a big deal to me because Mochi always wanted to go up my bed or our sofa.  Though he is just inside our house so normally the dust from our floor are accumulated on his paws, and there are times when he accidentally steps on his pee: and it becomes so stinky.  Using the wet wipes is not that effective in removing it.  

Then recently I discovered this on TikTok. - Bark & Spark Waterless Paw Cleanser.  At first I was hesitant  to try it to Mochi, that is why I did a little research on it's ingredients.  Same with the other products that I use for him, I make sure that it's organic and does not have toxic chemicals that may harm him. 

• Organic - It's plant based and non-toxic that is super safe for our fur babies.  
• Removes dirt and bacteria - the container has a soft silicon bristles that is washable so you can thoroughly your fur babies paws.  Better than just using wet wipes to wipe the paws.  With just a single pump, then gently brush the paws and finish it by wiping it dry clean cloth or tissue paper.
• Deodorizes and Moisturizes - It's lavender scent (my favorite) that is why it smells so go.  Aside from that it leaves the paws soft.

I found a new favorite for Mochi...

Hello Kitty Electronics♥

Here's another Hello Kitty update just in time for her birthday!  I went to Japan Home Centre the other day at Sta. Lucia East Mall branch - their Hello Kitty Electronic items are now available in-store.

Japan Home Centre has always been my happy place... seeing those cutie Sanrio items really makes my heart skip a beat. Drool mode on - I want to bring them all home! (ahahaha)  There are a lot new items but for now I will be sharing about their Electronic items.

There are Fast Chargers, Lightning and C-Type Charging Cables, Earphones, Phone rings and Phone stand.

Got the 2 port USB Fast Charger and Phone stand... I was also thinking of getting the cables but have seconds thoughts because sometimes iPhone does not usually recognize other cables.  

I already tried using this and it's really fast charging.  What's good about this it's 2 port.  So I can charge my AirPods and Phone all at the same time. 

The phone stand is super cute! It comes in two designs both are cute but this Hello Kitty in Kimono is always a favorite.♥

Fashion Styling at 50 (and above)♥

Yes, you read this right:  Fashion styling for women at 50 (and above).  As women enter perimenopause or menopause there are changes in body shape and composition.  But that does not mean we cannot be fashionable anymore (me included coz I am 50.. haha).  As years pass by each of us,  did a lot of fashion experiments, there are hits and miss.  But the bottom line is  we already know what's our signature fashion style really is.  

Arms and stomach are typically the areas that we are worried about.  What's important in styling is to highlight your assets and conceal your flaws.  If you are not confident with your abdominal area you can wear an A-line dress.  Big arms?  Don't go for sleeveless top. 

 

Basics are our BFFs: Trousers, jeans, blazers, crisp white top, jacket and the popular LBT (little black dress).  These pieces will not fade away.

Don't be afraid of colors and prints:  A pop of color in your outfit is very important  (making it more exciting and happy), just don't overdo it.  Adding a hot pink blazer to a black top + jean ensemble is really eye-catching.  And don't be afraid to strut those printed dress and skirts, just be cautious in choosing the prints.  For example if you are petite don't go for big prints vice versa if you are plus size.

Go for dainty jewelries: The hint is don't over accessorize!  Over accessorizing often looks unsophisticated.  I used to wear chunky necklaces, statement rings or stacked bracelets but now I toned down to 1 or 2 arm candies and if I need to wear a neck piece I go for a simple one.  I remember my jeweler once told me that I should invest in a 16mm (or bigger) south sea pearl earrings (which I did) or  diamond earrings because as a woman ages these are statement pieces that she only need.  And now I realized that it's true.

A good bag:  It does not necessarily mean that you need to get a designer bag.  What's important is you get a functional one.  A bag adds some personality to your outfit.  Remember a woman carrying a power bag really draws attention.

Jeans and shorts? Yes please: Who said that you cannot wear jeans anymore?  Well you just need to get one that fits right.  Yes, you can still wear distressed jeans, but go for minimal rips only. For the shorts - denim, bermuda/walking shorts, tailored as long as you are comfortable with it but you have to say goodbye to your short-shorts even if you have nice legs.

Get yourself a staple shoes:  From sky high heels to kicks or ballet flats... but women at 50 should have a pair of high heels in her closet (an inch or 2 is just right) in case you need to go to events or parties. Aside from that you need to have a go to shoes like a pair of loafers or sneakers if you need to do some errands or have casual meet ups with friends.

Don't forget the little details: A great sunnies that accentuate your face makes a lot of difference.  Make sure you will choose the right shape for your face.

"Losyang no more mga besh!"  Who said that you cannot be fashionable at 50?  Life is to short to not to be beautiful and presentable.  Do whatever makes you happy!  No stress equals happy life. (*wink!)

50 Most InPawential Dogs of 2022♥

Still on high with the recent achievement of my baby boy - Mochi.  I am so grateful to Club Media Asia Inc.,  Zoetis Pet Care PH and Simparica Trio for this one of a kind opportunity for inviting Mochi to be a part of the 50 Most InPawential Dogs of 2022.  This event was in line with the 1st Anniversary of Simparica Trio here in the Philippines.

Meet the rest of the Most InPawential Dogs of 2022:

The two day event (photoshoot) was held last October 4 & 5, 2022 at Bulb Studios.   It was a fun shoot.  At first Mochi was a little afraid (of course it was his first time): I carried, whispered to him ("Just pose and smile at the camera my love.") and assured him that Mum will not leave.   Being the most obedient boy: when I put him down he started posing (with the help of his fave squeeky plushy that we normally use whenever I take his photos at home). And that was a proud moment for mama.  

Mochi met Zeus an American Bully and the rest of the Club Media and Zoetis team.  Unfortunately we weren't able to meet the rest of the dogs but hopefully soon.

They also did a short interview on How I give Mochi #ThreeTimesTheLove (which is their slogan for the event).  Kinda hesitant and really not prepared to this kind of things (haha)  but I hope I was able to answer the questions properly.

Running out of space on your iPhone?♥

When running out of space on your iPhone?  I recently discovered this Kingston Data Traveler Bolt Duo flash drive for Apple iPhone and iPad.  When your iCloud and iPhone memory reaches it's full capacity you really need to have a flash drive to back up your photos and videos.  While Android users can easily use USB-c flash drives, for Apple users it's hard because there are no flash drives with lightning connectors before.  Well now there are a lot of these lightning connectors flash drives available in the market.  Kinda felt like a  yesterday person because I just learned about this Kingston flash drive with lighting connector. (haha). - Better late then never, right?!

To use this, you need to download the Kingston bolt application on the Apple app store.  After installing the application you can now connect the Bolt drive in your iPhone or iPad.

With the Kingston bolt you can transfer, capture and view the things that your backed up on your USB drive. You can view them on your desktop.

In transferring photos and videos you can either transfer all or select whatever items you want to back up.  You may also choose if you want to keep or delete the original photos and videos on your phone after the back up.  Backing up of items is not limited to your videos and photos, you can also save your contacts and calendar in the bolt.

So if you have problems with your iPhone or iPad memory... get your own Kingston bolt or you can look for USB with lightning connectors available in the market. :)
