Furla Re-Candy Bag♥

source: Google.com

The popular Candy bag of Furla made a comeback in line with it's 10th birthday.  The iconic top handle bag now known as the Furla Re-Candy, with this reissue it came with a new exciting accessory the ABS (Acrylonitrile Butadiene Styrene) chunky chain removable long strap.

source: Google.com

What's great about this candy bag is that it's made from recycled materials.  The satchel bag was made from recycled Thermoplastic polyurethane from the previously-produced version according to the Furla website.  The bag comes in 5 colors : Blue, Berry, Lemon, Apricot and Grape; and 2 sizes - Mini bag  M (16 x 13 x 9 cm) and Boston bag S (26 x 21 x 15 cm).

I have always wanted this bag when it's original version came out but I was not lucky enough to have one.  I find it fitted for use here in the Philippines since we often have typhoons because it's waterproof.  I am glad that they brought this bag back... now I think I really need to save and get myself one.  I just hope I can still get one soon (as soon as I have the budget for this *wink), because these bags are almost sold out everywhere.

Prices:
**Mini M bag $178.00 (USD) / 154 Euro
**Boston Bag S $228.00 (USD) / 195 Euro

What are your thoughts about this bag?

Do you think it's worth it if I purchase this bag?

How to maximize your GCash♥

source: Gcash

I know a lot of us are already familiar with GCash.  Been using this mobile application for quite a while..  But aside from receiving money, buying mobile loads, paying bills and to government institutions there are a lot of things you can do if you have a GCash account.

What is GCash?  If I am not mistaken, it was the first Philippine mobile wallet that was introduced in 2004, owned by Mynt and joint venture with Ant Group and Globe Telecom.

GCash is not exclusive to Globe and TM subscribers, if you are using Smart or Sun you can  also register, all you have to do is to download the mobile app.

How can you maximize your GCash?

  • GSave - This year I started using GSave.  GCash partnered with CIMB (which is regulated by the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas).  CIMB Bank (Commerce International Merchant Bankers Berhad)  is a digital bank in Malaysia and now it is operating in the Philippines. It offers 4% interest per annum and there is no maintaining balance.  I have not really placed a lot of funds in it but, little by little I want really to learn and understand more about digital banking.  It is really new to me.. that is why I still a little skeptical.  But like when GCash started I did not dive in right away... but now I am enjoy using it because of it's convenience.  Lastly, before I forget CIMB bank is also registered with PDIC (Philippine Deposit Insurance Corp.)  so your deposit is safe and insured up to P500,000.00.

  • GInvest - I started investing 2016 when I opened an SSS Peso Fund account.  Since it was really hard to send my contribution because you need to go at any SSS branch to pay: I opened a Pag-ibig MP2 account in which I can send my savings or investment via Gcash.  Then early this year GCash offered GInvest - which is good for beginners.  You can invest for as low as P50.00 for local and P1,000.00 for International.  GCash partnered with Seedbox and ATRAM, the former being a digital platform that lets you invest online and the latter is well-known as investment asset manager here in the Philippines.

There is also GInsure which is Gcash and Singlife partnership, that provides Gcash users to access Singlife insurance products.  At the moment I cannot elaborate on this because I have not studied this yet.  At the moment I am just starting to educate myself on digital banking and investing.  But yes, I am also interested in getting myself insured, especially now that I am not getting any younger.
