My Budget wallet♥

I know many of us have received our 13th month pay and Christmas bonuses.  Well just a piece of advice: Don't spend every thing! (Stop being a one-day millionaire this holiday season)  Yes, I know that we want to give gifts to our love ones and friends (ourselves also), but we should always keep in mind that we should save for the rainy days.  On my younger days, I often splurge during this season.  And ends up a "purita" before the new year.  When I bought my own car in 2004, I have learned that I should save or at least open up a business to make that money on hand grow.  Being in the accounting field also taught me how to budget my finances.  Though there are times I go over board and I end up: guilty of spending too much on something not so important.  I know sometimes we should also reward ourselves, but we should always keep in mind that "unexpected" expenses may come any time. (When we least expected it: Like what happened to me last weekend, good thing I have a little savings to cover up for the car repair)

I came up with this budget wallet (few years ago, but I reinvented it: with dividers instead of envelopes):  So I can easily segregate the salary or any monetary benefit I receive.  For savings, meals, gas, transportation/fares, communication or mobile loads, utilities, entertainment and etc.  (Aside from that I also make my own cash flow. *wink!)  But for those not on the accounting / finances field this budget wallet would somehow help you in budgeting.

Materials needed:
  • Wallet
  • Card board
  • Pencil
  • Ruler
  • Scotch tape
  • Pair of scissors
  • Pen or Marker / Computer print out of budget names/titles

Procedure:
  1. Measure the length and width of the wallet;
  2. Draw the measurement of the wallet on the card board. Remember to adjust the size by 1/2" or 1/4" down so it will fit the wallet perfectly;
  3. Cut the cardboard.  This serves as your dividers, make sure you do several pieces;
  4. You can write the name of expense or budget title/name on top of the cardboard divider or you can print and tape it;
  5. When you are finished naming the dividers, you can now insert it inside you wallet.

 Last tip! Open a passbook savings account and try to deposit every month.  Why with passbook? Because if it's an ATM account card you can easily access your money anytime and any where.

Happy Saving!♥

Hello Kitty Loot bag from Jollibee♥

It's been a while since I shared something about Hello Kitty.  Last weekend I was supposed to attend my BFFs Hello Kitty Thanksgiving party at Jollibee in Green Meadows Libis Quezon City. (really excited pa naman)  Unfortunately I was not able to make it because I met an accident on the way to the party.  Luckily I was with my other friend Elin.  It was the first time I have experienced this kind of road mishap.  God is really good! Yes the repair would really cost a fortune (goodbye to my Christmas bonus and 13th month pay this year) but at least we are okay.  I remember what the MMDA enforcer told me "Ok lang yan maám at least po walang nasaktan sa inyo, ang kotse po puede naman ipagawa."  That made me realize that: "Yes, we are lucky!"

Now back to Hello Kitty, so sad that I was not able to make it there but the good thing is my friend Aya saved a Hello Kitty loot for me.

The loot bag comes with a pink pouch with Hello Kitty print. What's inside the bag? A tumbler, pink spoon and fork, small towel and a plate.

Thanks for this Aya! Truly appreciate that you save this for me.  To the Manong MMDA: Salamat po!

Lesson learned:  Even if you are careful with your driving there are a lot of wreckless drivers on the road.  We should always say a prayer before we hit the road. (that saved us!Amen..)  Take care all! ♥

Costume Jewels for 2015♥

Counting the days before we say Hello to 2015!  I am really excited to share this... As I have said on my previous blog entries that I really love accessories, mainly costume jewelries.  Here are my choices from the upcoming trends for 2015.  Normally, trends during the last quarter of the year continues until the first 2 months or first quarter of the new year.  This quarter we saw padlock charms not only on bracelets but also on necklaces and earrings... Well you can still use them next year.

I love arm candies stacking! Expect more of it in 2015.  Chanel introduced its "Slogan" bangles on the Paris Fashion Week for Spring/Summer 2015.  Well I really adore Chanel, because of its elegant and classic pieces.  Costume jewels that will definitely not go out of style.

Tory Burch also has a similar bracelet: the Lucia Initial charm bracelet, it's a leather wrap bracelet were you can add charms on it.

Actually if you can remember in the early part of this year, Lanvin came up with it's "Statement" necklaces: "Love", "Happy" and etc.

Gold chain necklace layering, so there will be more stacking, piling and layering of accessories next year..

Moschino models paraded on the runway wearing layers of gold chain necklaces and bracelets.

Lacquer cuffs: this was Celine's take on the resin cuff of Chanel.  Chanel resin cuff bracelets comes with it's iconic cc signature logo. But of course Celine is known for it's minimalist designs.

XXL necklaces was really eye-catching!  Very bold and versatile.  Versatile? Yes, because you can wear them on any outfit.

Chunky chain large necklaces find them here at Fabulousity by Chiq♥

The mix match earrings by Dior.  Dior is really in for mix match pieces like their ever popular Mise en Dior Tribal earrings that became a worldwide craze this year.  Well I am not that crazy about earrings. Actually I cannot wear those that are not real gold, I get rashes on my ears.  That is why I don't really opt for costume earrings.  :(  I remember I asked my jeweler to custom made a Chanel earrings that I really like.  (Dangling pearl earrings with cc logo).

Rings Stack... no more statement or huge cocktail rings for next year.  Small, cutie rings for each finger.  Need to keep my cocktail rings for this year... I just don't think this kind of ring trend will be viable to me.

Accessories are like icing to your outfit.  But of course the rule is "Don't OVER-ACCESSORIZE!"   Wearing accessories are also age appropriate, don't just wear anything you want.  Don't be like a walking jewelry box or Christmas tree.

Quick tips: On buying your costume jewelries or accessories always go for: Classic and versatile pieces. And always take care of them to retain its gorgeous appearance Costume jewelries TLC♥

Tipid tips: Hair conditioner♥

Don't throw your hair conditioner containers right away!
I want to share this to all of you.  I don't know if a lot of you also practice this at home.  I am sure, many of us ladies use hair conditioner, I would suggest that you buy those on tubes.  Usually there are leftovers inside the containers that you can still use:  "Sayang" (it's like 2 to 3 uses pa).  Honestly I did not realize that there's still an ample amount of it inside, I only learned about it one time when I ran out of conditioner.  From that time on: I do this before opening a new tube.

Things you need are:

Pair of scissors and plastic spoon
Clean plastic container
Hair conditioner on Tube container
Actually even if you tried squeezing and pushing it down: there are still leftovers inside.  So what you will do is to cut the tube container at middle and spoon the left over conditioner inside and place it on the plastic container.

Do you have also have a tipid tip to share?
