Review: Antipolo Beehouse Burrow Café♥

It was my sister's special day last week.  For a change we decided to try Burrow Café located in Taytay Rizal.  It was our first time there, but unfortunately I find the place - overrated.  I'm sorry, but I always give an honest review on everything that I post.

We know it was an underground café... We never expected that it was too steep to climb and go down on around 70 steps.  We brought our senior parents with us (both 80 years old).  They have a ramp aside from the stairs, but honestly my parents did not enjoyed the going up and down session... struggle is real.  The restaurant not suitable for senior citizens.

As we entered the café, honestly there's nothing spectacular.  I was hoping for something amazing but it was just too ordinary.  Maybe we expected too much.  I did not tried to go around the place anymore.  Another thing, there is no separate restrooms for male and female, two are available but they are both common comfort rooms.  It's not smelly but the problem is the floor is too wet, no staff is assigned to monitor the restrooms.  It's hard to move inside it because you might accidentally slip.

Now let's go to the food.  I ordered Eggs Benedict on sourdough bread with smoked salmon and bacon jam (P575.00).  According to their menu it was one of the best sellers, but I am not a fan.  The smoked salmon is too small and my question is where is the bacon? I haven't tasted any bacon on the jam.

Their home brewed iced tea (P140.00 per glass) made from talbos ng kamote, ginger, lemon grass and calamansi is so-so.

My nephews and niece ordered truffle cheese pizza (P720.00) they kinda enjoyed this.  We also ordered the Grilled Chicken Mushroom Bordelaise, sweet potato mash (P420.00), Lechon & Gising Gising bowl (P400.00), Salmon Ratatouille pesto cream (P625.00), Tender Beef Tapa (P395.00) and Salisbury steak (P415.00).  Some of the orders came so late... Our mom even shared her order with our dad, my father just opted to take away his order when it came: because we are almost done eating.  (we are a party of 12).

Burrow's Signature Cheesecake P295.00

Burrow's Carrot Cake P290.00

We also decided to try their cakes.  Our family loves cheesecake and carrot cake, so we ordered them.  The Cheese cake is good... but we did not like the Carrot cake.

They also gave us complimentary crème brulee maybe because of the late serving of some of our orders.

Verdict:
Ambiance: ♥♥ out of 5
Food:  ♥♥.5 out of 5
Service: ♥♥ out of 5

Overall: I find it very disappointing.  The food is - yes very instagramable but the taste is average and in my opinion they are expensive.  If you ask me if we are planning to go back... my answer would be... that would be our first and probably our last.

Til my next review...

Chiq♥

Ahoy there! Captain Mochi turns 3♥

August 15, 2020, God sent you down to me...  I feel blessed that you came at the time when I needed somebody to make me sane because we are in the middle of the pandemic.  I thanked my sister's friend and my Ate for choosing me to be your furry god mum.  I got you few days before you turned 2 months... Fiesty at first but slowly after a few days you started to be clingy little balut.

I am very proud of your accomplishments!  Last year you were chosen to be a part of 50 most InPawential Dogs of Simparica Trio and this year you finished Top 5 in SM Megamall's PupStar.  I hope you know how proud mum is to you.

Mochi is a super sweet and easy to train dog.  Aside from sitting and waiting he was already potty trained before he turned 3 months.

My little fashionista bebe is well-known for his happy and jolly aura.  He is truly a smiley dog!  Once you see him smiling it will truly change your mood.  Truly a head turner, whenever we go to the mall or anywhere he always catches the attention of a lot people.

Every year I make it a point to have a Themed Bark day for Mochi!  His first was Rainbow themed, last year was Paris-themed... This year I chose Nautical theme, because my little sailor is the Captain of my Heart...♥♥♥

Happy 3rd birthday my love... Mochi bebe!   You are heaven sent.  The unconditional love you have been giving me everyday is really amazing.  I wish for your good health always... I always pray to Papa God for you to be with me forever...♥

Importance of Financial Reporting♥

source: Google.com

I have been in the corporate world for 30 years and I do believe that financial reporting is not only important to a company but also to us personally.

Financial reporting lets a company keep track of its assets, liabilities and net worth.  This will help a company to manage their debts which can be beneficial to them especially for their investors and future investors.  It is also important to employees because if a company has a reliable financial report they will have confidence because they know that company has an ability to pay their wages and benefits.

Personal: Financial reporting is not only applicable to companies.  You can also make your own personal financial report, you can keep track of your income and expenses which will help you achieve your goals and be financially free from debts.

What are the types of  personal financial records?  We must always remember that financial records include everything related to money: bank statements, receipts, investments, mortgage loans, mutual funds, insurance policies and etc.

The most common and easiest financial report you can prepare is the Income Statement or Statement of Income and Expenses.

Formula:  Income - Expense = Net Income/Loss

What is Income?  Income is money received, on a regular basis, for work or through investments.  This includes salaries, rent income from properties, income from sale of products and services and etc.

What is Expense? Expense is the money spent for something or the cost required for something, like money used to purchase goods and services, payment to tenant for rent, tuition fee of children and etc.

A reliable financial report, can help you build trust and confidence from it's users : like for example you are handling group event.  A liquidation report is important so that the members of the group will have an idea on how the funds are handled.  Same with if you are handling petty cash fund in your work place proper liquidation is important.

That is why, financial reports are not only important to companies... personally it can help you track your cash flow, liquidity and net worth... if you have a group project or event this is important because you will gain the trust and confidence of the members... if your into selling (online or not) this is one of the most important thing to have in order to know if you are earning.  :)

A Decade and 2 of Fabulousity♥

Today, Fabulousity by Chiq♥  turns 12!  I am super grateful to all who patronage my small business.   As I have said in my previous blog that it was a dream to have my own boutique...  It's not all roses but I keep on holding on...   I try to innovate and develop new product lines... from the original Fabulouschq where I make bracelets, necklaces and headbands and Little Fab Closet for your little ones.  I have three new babies - the Fabulouschq Pets that offers unique, luxury pet clothes & accessories and from making accessories before I now make necklaces for pets and I call it Chiquita Riviere; and since I love personalization I launched Bespoke Ribbons by Chiq last year, where I do personalized ribbons.   But the 3rd is not full time (because I still have a day job), Delish by Chiq - yes, I do cook and bake... I accept food orders on special occasions.

Again, thank you Papa God for everything, for giving me this talent (in creating and selling) and opportunity.  My loyal customers for their continued patronage.  To my family and friends thanks for being my support system!

Wishing for more years!  and more ideas...

xo,
Chiq♥
