My love for Hello Kitty continues... As she celebrate her 42nd birthday I decided to make my whole month of November - a Hello Kitty planner theme month.  Every week I will feature different faces or themes of my beloved character.♥

The most anticipated planner is here!  Now my journey starts... I started collecting Starbucks planner way back 2008 and the rest was history. hihi..  The promo started last November 2 and will run until January 8, 2017.  Same mechanics - you have to accumulate nine (9) stickers for Holiday featured beverage and nine (9) Core beverage so a total of 18 stickers.

This year the promo is called "Crafted by HAND and HEART".  And a new holiday beverage is introduced Santa Hat Dark Mocha along side with Toffee Nut Latte and my all-time Christmas beverage favorite Peppermint Mocha.

The Planner

Still made by Moleskin (same as last year) with watercolor designed pages : available in 2 designs and comes in 2 sizes (small and large).

The Siren : Inspired by the sea - comes with blue planner pouch with gold mermaid tail print.

Coffee Stain - comes with brown pouch and a coffee mug design in front.

Both planners come with erasable pen, magnetic bookmark, stickers and of course coupons.

My Choice

My pick is The Siren!  But would love have them both.  Last year,  I was able to have 2 planners and got the large in green and small in red. (*wink!) 

So start collecting now!  For my journey also started last week...

Who's turning 42 on November?  Of course who else - it's Hello Kitty! In line with her birthday Colourpop collaborated with Sanrio to come up with an exciting collection.

Here's a sneak peek of the collection.  The collection features 9 shades of their lippies in matte, satin, gloss and metallic;  4 eye shadow shades in singles and pallete; highlighters.  There will also be a make up bag (which I am super excited about) and face kit that includes a blush, highlighter and eye shadows. Price range will be from $5.00 to $42.00

October 2016: Planner Spread♥

Few days left before we say "sayonara" to October 2016.  Time really flies fast... 

I just wanted to share my planner spreads for the month of October.

When other creative planning enthusiasts choose to decorate their planner with different theme every week.  I decided to have one planner theme for the whole month.

For this month I chose "Afternoon High tea party" theme.

I love tea... (instead of coffee)

Tea cups, tier cake plates, mini cakes, mini sandwiches and macarons excites me..

I can honestly say that this theme is - very me!♥

Hello there fashionistas and techies out there!  During the Spring/Summer 2017 fashion show of Louis Vuitton these fab phone cases caught the attention of almost all of those present in the event.  These cases are modernized version of LV's coveted vintage trunks.

This not actually not the first time that Louis Vuitton revolutionized their trunk. In 2014, Louis Vuitton introduced the Petite Malle bag (miniature Louis Vuittion trunk) on their Autumn/Winter 2014 fashion show, which became the "it bag" after the runway show: the bag can be used as a shoulder bag, cross body bag and a clutch.

A day before the fashion show, Nicolas Ghesquiere (LV's current creative director) took to Instagram the arrival of this "soon-to-be" coveted piece of luxury.

It seems like the new "it bag" bag of Louis Vuitton is a phone case.

The phone cases will come in the classic monogram, damier, crocodile and metallic monogram and damier.

My Planner Story♥

Been to this planner thingy just this year... I am a craft and scrapbook enthusiast, but due to my busy schedule I need to put that aside for a couple of years.  Now am back to what I really love.  I realized that this is what really de-stresses me.  After all day numbers at work seeing cutie stickers and crafting supplies makes me giddy.

 I do love collecting planners, but I don't really write on them... Starbucks planner collection (hihi) I just love seeing them piled up on my table.   At the moment I have 2 planners (used in planner decorating), one for work and the other an A5 Ever New Planner which I leave at my home.  Oh I have another one a Kate Spade Rose gold Wellesley.  

I am a little kuripot (miserly) when it comes to planner supplies, though I sometimes splurge on pens, but when it comes to stickers I just print those I find online.  That's why I love Pinterest so much! 

I also make my own planner tassels and paper clips. (*wink-wink)

The Little Twins Stars ribbon tassel is my first take in making a ribbon tassel.  But I have also did some made from yarn.

This coming month's Spread - it's Afternoon High tea time theme♥

Choosing the theme on my weekly spread really depends on my mood.  But if you browse the pages of my planner I am into pastels, pink, gold, bronze and of course Hello Kitty will always be present every time I do my planner photo shoot. :)

I am more of a minimalist when it comes to planner design, because I want to have more spaces to write on,

October is Breast cancer awareness month: Plains and Prints partnered with our country's top designers - Maureen Disini, Rhett Eala, Rajo Laurel, Vania Romoff and Randy Ortiz in one common cause to raise awareness and defeat breast cancer.  

They came up with a collection known as "Heart of Fashion" in support of ICanServe foundation.

Spring/Summer 2011 Collection - Space Odyssey was one of the collaborations of Rajo Laurel with Plains and Prints.  If I remembered it right, I think the first one was when the brand ambassador of P&P was Paula Taylor.

His first with Plains and Prints was in 2009 the collection was inspired by Philippines fashion icons Charlene Gonzales, Kris Aquino, Lucy Torres and etc.

Vania Romoff : Margaret off shoulder and Clara tube dresses

This was also her first partnership with Plains and Prints.  She's the designer  behind the clothes that Anne Curtis wore in Solenn Heusaff and Isabelle Daza's wedding and Cristalle Belo's wedding dress she wore on her civil wedding (silk gown with hand stitched floral appliqué) held in The Peninsula Manila early this month.

PCPH Planner Party 2016♥

It was my first time to attend a Planner party!  I never thought it will be that exciting.  I went to the party with my sister who is a planner enthusiast also like me.  Well we both like crafting, "art" runs in our blood... we breathe "art"! (Hahaha)  My ate (older sis) is a Fine Arts advertising graduate and me I'm a frustrated interior designer. (*wink!)  

Anyway, it was a great experience: meeting planner lovers like me.  After the registration attendees are given cutie charms with our names.  On the tables were loot boxes (for each of us) full of planner goodies from sponsors, and we're advised not to open them until the end of the party.

Vintage Theme - Planner design

We were divided into groups:  I am so happy with my group mates (it was the Best group ever!) - Des, Maricris, Christine, Nyds (my sis). We all have common interests aside from planning of course:  We're all into "vintage" themes.  On one of the fun games: the impromptu planner designing - We WON : The Best Planner design! ;)

Aside from that we (our group) also got major prices in the raffle.  Me - I got the one given my Deco Art, it includes one planner, planner pouch and 2 pens.  And I so love them! 

We are asked to bring exchange gift worth minimum of P200.00.  I got these from Ms. Joan (one of the organizers of the event).

Attendees are close to 50!  And everyone didn't go home empty handed...

Dolce Amore♥

Ciao!  Yes I am one of those who got so addicted in watching Dolce Amore (Sweet Love), and after 7 months it's finally ending on Friday. (Sigh.)  Honestly, I never missed an episode. I am not a LizQuen fan but of all love teams now I love watching them.   Enrique and Liza have already matured as artists - both are no longer "just a pretty face". 

Dolce Amore : It's not your ordinary romantic-comedy teleserye does not really focus on boy and girl relationship but also family love.  Forgiving, moving on and choosing LOVE above all.

And now my liking in learning the Italian language came back.  Every morning instead of greeting my nephews "good morning" I go - "Buongiorno!"  Learning Italian and Spanish is a dream, when they removed Spanish subject in college before I really felt bad since I wanted to learn it.  Oh well... hope it's not that late for me to do this.  (*wink)  It's easier now... I sincerely thank google translate.  I remember my very first blog's title in Friendster before was : La Dolce Vita de Criselda. (The Sweet life of Criselda)

What I have admired about them?  Very real... you can really feel their emotions and Liza's very good.I envy her for speaking good Italian. (hihi) Enrique was equally awesome.  Wait, not just them - but the whole cast.  Another great project from ABS-CBN - taking us to places not only here in the Philippines but also other parts of the world.  Traveling in Europe especially Italy is a dream. Congratulations to the whole cast (Complimenti a tutto il cast) especially to the directors May Cruz-Alviar, Cathy Garcia-Molina and Richard Arellano - Good work guys! (Buon Lavoro a tutti!)

I will surely miss the show (Io sicuramente perdere lo spettacolo).  But I am looking forward for their next teleserye hopefully next year.

SSS Peso Fund♥

Last year I learned about this SSS Peso Fund over the news, and honestly I am really wanted to know how this SSS Peso Fund works.  P.E.S.O. - stands for Personal Equity and Savings Option: so what's with it?  After I paid up my car loan in 2014, I decided start saving for my retirement (better to start early).  Being employed in the private sector, SSS pension is so small as compared to what government employees get from GSIS.  Based from my experience: my mom was a retired grade school teacher and my dad retired employee/college professor.   My mother was able to get more than a million from GSIS and her monthly pension is about P13,000.00 as compared to my father he got at about P200,000.00 from SSS and P5,000.00 monthly pension.  

SSS Peso fund is a voluntary membership fund offered exclusively to SSS qualified members.  What's great about this is that it's tax free!  Instead of putting your money in the bank, interests earned are subject to withholding tax.  Aside from being tax-free SSS will only invest your money to government securities so earnings are guaranteed instead of investing it on other mutual funds : profits are not guaranteed since investment comes with risks in which you can actually lose your invested money.  

Some of my friends are offering me to invest on mutual funds and etc., I am really interested but since I know how risky it is I'd rather choose something that is guaranteed. 

Here are the requirements: Please note you should be updated with your premium contribution at  maximum amount which is P1,760.00 

1.  Age must be below 55;
2. Paid SSS contributions for at least 6 consecutive months prior to your enrollment to the peso fund;
3. OFW, VM, SE members should be paying the maximum amount of contributions;
4. Have not filed any claim under SSS program.

How to apply:

You need to apply personally at any SSS branch.  I applied last August 3, I went to SSS Marikina and it took 20 minutes only, but the waiting time before the opening of the SSS office took awhile.  I was there as early as 6:30am and office hours start at 8:00am.  I already brought a duly  accomplished SSS Peso Fund Application form.  

You may contribute minimum of P1,000.00 to P100,000.00 per year.

Hello Kitty Fruit Mart Collection x McDonald's Hongkong♥

When everybody's going ga-ga with the Pokémon Go last week. Me - I'm so excited with these Hello Kitties from Hongkong.  New addition to my growing collection! (*wink)

Last July, McDonald's Hongkong came up with this Hello Kitty Fruit mart collection: it's actually a crossover between Hello Kitty and other Sanrio Characters in fruits theme similar to the Hello Kitty Bubbly world Collection which was released by McDonald's Singapore in 2014 (which I am lucky enough to complete the set - Thanks to my friends based in SG). 

The Hello Kitty fruit mart collection consists of 6 mini plushies and comes with a special edition picnic bag, that is if you buy the whole set at HK$228.00.  

Each Hello Kitty dressed as a fruit and with other Sanrio Character's outfit:

• Orange x Gudetama
• Watermelon x KeroKeropi
• Pineapple x Pompompurin
• Apple x  Cinamonroll
• Strawberry x My Melody

The mini plushie is individually packed in a carton crate.  I am just a lucky girl because my cousin Crissy was in Hongkong for a holiday when these cuties were on sale and she was able to get me the whole set. 

All plushies are adorable! My favorite? Though all of the are really cute - it's My Melody that i like most!♥

Fabulousity by Chiq♥ turns 5!

I can't imagine that my online boutique is 5 years old.  It was really a childhood dream... and it's an amazing feeling when you have fulfilled one of your life's goals.  As I have said on my previous post about how I started : an initial capitalization of Php500.00, opened a Multiply account - where I sell handmade bracelets and headbands... then Facebook and Instagram. 

I would like to thank Papa God for making this possible, my grandparents (Lolo Guiling and Lola Luming) where I got my selling skills, they are my inspiration.  I remember being my Lolo's stockclerk (started when I still in grade school).  And we help them in their little store at the palengke (market).  My parents, siblings and relatives for their support... My clients/customers who became my friends who continue to patronize my products. Thank you all so much!♥
