La Claque: The Slap♥

When they used this as one of the catwalk music at the Gingersnaps 20th anniversary fashion show: Loved it!♥ (I totally fell in love with the melody) I don't really understand French... though I would love to learn it...  (hihi) I am super drawn to these kind of music... Spanish, Italian version of songs... So i made a research what this song really means... It's entitled "La Claque" (The Slap) by Margaux Avril

La Claque

Je trace la route et j'embarque
Des rires des pleurs et des claques
A la recherche d'un idéal...
J'exprime un peu de remords,
Tu n'avais pas toujours tort
Mais trop de kilomètres
Nous séparent déjà peut-être...
Je fuis comme un bolide
Le coeur pas très solide
Quand vient la peur du vide...
A chaque fois
Je me perds et je craque
C'est comme ça
Je reviens comme une claque
x2
Il est huit heures je m'éveille
J'ai suivi tous tes conseils
Mais rien n'y fait
c'n'est plus pareil
Un geste inespéré,
à peine attentionné
M'aurait fait hésiter,
j'ai envie d'accélérer...
Je fuis comme un bolide
Le coeur pas très solide
Quand vient la peur du vide...
A chaque fois
Je me perds et je craque
C'est comme ça
Je reviens comme une claque
x2
Il est huit heures je m'éveille
J'ai suivi tous tes conseils
Mais rien n'y fait
c'n'est plus pareil
Un geste inespéré,
à peine attentionné
M'aurait fait hésiter,
j'ai envie d'accélérer..

English translation:

The Slap

I walk this road and I embark on a journey
There was laughter, tears, and hurt
I'm looking for something ideal...
I show a little remorse,
You aren't always wrong
But there may be
Too many miles that separate us...
I'm like a meteor
My heart isn't very strong
When it comes to the fear of heights...
Whenever
I lose myself or I break
This is how
I come back like a slap
x2
It's eight o'clock, I wake up
I followed your advice
But nothing will work
It's just not the same
An unexpected gesture,
Barely noticeable
Would've made me hesitate,
But I want to move forward...
I'm like a meteor
My heart isn't very strong
When it comes to the fear of heights...
Whenever
I lose myself or I break
This is how
I come back like a slap
x2
It's eight o'clock, I wake up
I followed your advice
But nothing will work
It's just not the same
An unexpected gesture,
Barely noticeable
Would've made me hesitate,
But I want to move forward...
Whenever
I lose myself or I break
This is how
I come back like a slap
x2

Starting Over Again Mania♥

So everybody is talking about this movie... When I saw the trailer, I was really meaning to watch this...  Not because of Papa P or Toni Gonzaga but the plot of the story which I find very interesting.

We all have our own share of relationships... and I know some of us experienced this kind of "love story".

I really feel for Ginny... Toni Gonzaga really proved something here... One of my favorite scene was when she's in her room crying her heart out... chanting... "Meron na syang iba!!!...." (Good acting here... very realistic!)  You can really feel her emotions...

The tag line: "How do I unlove you?" - I love this!!! (*wink!)  Because if you love somebody... even if you parted ways... it's not really that easy to unlove the person...as they say when you love someone, he / she will always remain in your heart forever.  Effort talaga on your part to move on and let go... and it's not done overnight... it takes time... (epic "#criseldamoments" ito!)
Papa P... all time heartthrob! Eyes...very expressive... even if he doesn't say a word... you can really feel the pain that Marco's going through... This shows that not only "us" women are in pain: in times of break up, parting ways... or whatever you call it...

It's a story of endings and beginnings...

Being hopeful not being hopeless...

Everything happens for a reason... and destiny will always lead you to the right person...

Bravo to Star Cinema, Director Olivia Lamasan, Piolo Pascual, Toni Gonzaga and Iza Calzado...

Five stars for this!

Really worth every penny! (though I was able to watch this for free.. hihi)

"And when i hold you in your arms I promise you...You're gonna feel the love that's beautiful and new...
This time I'll love you even better, than we never did before... and you'll be in my heart...FOREVERMORE!""

Are you summer ready?♥

Temperature is rising! Can you feel it? Cool weather is starting to say "Sayonara" to us...  I can now feel the summer heat.  For the past weeks I've been going to work wearing the jacket I wore on my Winter holiday 2011 in Sydney... sleeping on jammies and cuddling my comforter (without the aircon or electric fan).  I know everyone will agree with me that: last weekend the "hanging amihan" was never felt in Manila... My sweat glands are so active!!! Summer is here!

Are you summer ready?  I know everyone is very excited! Though I'm not totally obsessed about summer, since I am not a beach person.  I'd rather stay in-doors than go out in the sun... But what I love about summer is the fashion: colors, trends and style!

Here are some of my summer must haves:

1. Sunnies: I love wearing sunnies! (shades, sunglasses...whatever you call it!)  It protects our eyes from the sun... but you must always remember that if you buy sunnies be sure it has UV protection.

2. Sunscreen: Never go out on the sun without this! Actually I also use this even I don't go outdoors.  If you're always in front of the computer or you use your ipad often you need to put some... this helps you protect your face from developing wrinkles.

3. Summer bag: For me a good summer bag should be something light: a shopper is an excellent choice!  Aside from being lightweight it's very spacious...

4. Outfit:  Sundress, Maxi dress tops my list! I also love: simple tank or any sleeveless blouse + shorts,  Tank + Boho maxi skirt.  A nice cover up like a sarong or kimono is also one of the things that every girl should have.

5. Footwear: Flipflops, Sandals (wedge or flats)

6. Accessories!!! Boho beads, necklaces and pile of bangles or bracelets!!! I totally ♥♥♥!

Of course for fabulous and unique summer accessories you can visit my Fabulousity by Chiq♥ or follow me on Instagram @fabulouschq.

Gingersnaps 20th Anniversary Fashion Show♥

Lance fixing his bow tie before he hits the catwalk..this is what Director Robbie Carmona taught him
Our Jean Clarence Santos or Lance was officially named as one of the winners of the Gingersnaps Model Search for their 20th year anniversary fashion show held last February 1, Saturday at SM Aura-SMX Convention Center.

It was an afternoon of fun and excitement for both the parents and kids... Lance's first runway experience!  And we are so proud of him!  Our little shy boy... have overcome his shyness and gave his best...showing his confidence on the catwalk! (Actually it was weeks of training with me... how to walk, pose, smile and project on the camera)

Cocktails by Bizu, I love the Salmon with caviar! Food carts for the kids!

Ms. Daphne Osena-Paez  hosted the event... it was nice meeting Ms. Daphne in person... (being a follower of her blog) was really star struck!
