It's the end of the month again... Time flies really fast!  As promised here's my 2nd set of the accessories styling for 2015.

For the past 2 years I have been into yellow.  It's a happy color and it makes me smile. :)  Mango stripes blouson + Plains and prints Kirsten skirt and finished it with Sunshine Nate necklace and "Gum tee shirt" Dior earrings in black.

Hello Kitty is ♥.  From my HK collection my Tarina Tarantino Lolita necklace in pink + Brio Bracciali tennis bracelets.

Red for V-day! I wore Red cherry nate bracelet ♥

Piled my Hermes clic clacs for my sis in law's birthday lunch + CDG, MNG shorts and my new Mango kicks.

Everything's coming up roses! Pink gold is ♥ Rose gold jewelries are perfect for every girl's skin.  (really a very feminine color).

Getting ready for today's agenda with "Numerals & letter H".

Slogan bangles.... I'm speechless... arm candies that speak for themselves.

Hope you like them as much as I do!

Happy Styling!♥

Mango kicks♥

Can't remember the last time I wore rubber shoes. Hmmm... I am not a sneakers/rubber shoes kinda girl.  I'm not a shoeaholic!  Having a pair of pumps for work, stilettos for night outs or formal occasion, ballet flats is enough for me.  Honestly, a lot of shifts and changes started last year when I started wearing flats instead of sky high heels. Ditching my 5 inches work pumps for a 3 inches... wearing my fitflops rather than wedge sandals when I go malling.  Geez... SOA! (Sign of Old Age) *wink!

Just last week, I got myself these Mango kicks!  I really wanted to buy one since last year but every time I go looking for one I end up not buying, since it's very expensive: Nike ranges from P4,500.00 to P6,000.00 well that's too much for a pair of shoes... (getting a little "Kuripot" (stingy) here...)  When I went to Mango boutique in Edsa Shangrila to check out their new collection - found these!

Good thing they still have my size: 38.  It's very comfy, lightweight and most importantly the price within my budget at P2,450.00.  I opted for this instead of shelling out 6K, (we need to be a little practical sometimes çoz I'm not going to wear this everyday).

I'm totally "happy" with my purchase!  Now I am ready to stay fit and fab this year!♥

Fabchq: Acrylic Ring organizer♥

Like on my previous post, I shared my Addiction to acrylic organizers.  Well, I love seeing my stuff properly organized (it's easier to locate them): I am little O.C. I guess.  Having lots of "abubot" (knick-knacks) especially rings, I want to see them nicely placed on a ring holder or organizer.

Before i used to have a leather ring organizer (that houses my ring collection), I still have it but since I love those that are made of acrylic and it will match my acrylic drawers on my dresser. I fell in love with this stackable acrylic ring organizer.  Actually you can also put small pieces of jewelry here like earrings, bracelets and etc.

This was my old ring organizer.

This is the new one made of high quality acrylic with 16 slots and as I have said it's stackable. (Very space saving.)

It's totally perfect for my dresser! Matches my acrylic drawers!♥  And it will also be perfect for your dresser as well!

Dong Juan in Quezon City♥

I am not really a foodie... I don't go out very often but I enjoy dining out once in a while.  I love to cook, honestly I am quite hard to please when it comes to food.  When I say something is totally "delish" (delicious): Promise it is really something that you must try! Actually I learned about this resto by watching "DZMM Teleradyo" and by following the likes of Martin Nievera and Sam Milby on Instagram.  Dong Juan Restaurant, was originally from Cebu city.  Well it's been years since I have been to Cebu, but I have not tried this yet.  Anyway, Mr. Ahwel Paz one of the hosts of "Mismo" on DZMM was one of the owners of the resto (they mentioned this on one of their segments in Mismo show).  That made me curious to try this one out.  Yesterday, was my sister in law's birthday treat and when she asked me for a suggestion, I told her about this resto located in Mother Ignacia near St. Mary's Academy. It was an old ancestral home converted into a restaurant.  It's two-storey: very homey... I love the ambiance, not to formal... but i find it very comfy : especially for a group with kids.  Having two (kulit) boys with us, luckily we were able to find a spot that is very suitable for those who have kids, one of the separate rooms on the second floor have couches and small stools. Perfect for us!

We ordered the "must try" Dong Juan Babyback ribs: well my verdict: It's super yummy! Tender and very tangy! (the BEST!)  No wonder most of the artists/personalities have good things to say about the famous ribs of Dong Juan.

Dong Juan's Babyback ribs - Must try!

Our other orders were: Calamari, Broccoli with oyster sauce, Chicken drumsticks, Dong Juan fried rice, Carbonara and Cheese pizza... lastly for dessert we had Warm brownie melt.

Verdict: (1 to 5 stars: where 5 is the highest)
  • Ambiance - 5 stars
  • Food
    •  Babyback ribs - 5 stars
    • Calamari - 4 stars
    • Broccoli with Oyster sauce - 4 stars
    • Chicken drumsticks -  3.5 stars
    • Carbonara - 3 stars
    • Cheese Pizza (though the boys loved it) - only 2.5 stars for me i did not like the pizza crust
    • Warm brownie melt - 4 stars
  • Staff - 5 stars (very friendly and accommodating)
  • Overall experience - 4.5 stars
Yes, I plan to come back to try the other dishes they offer.  And maybe next time I will bring my BFFs with me.

Have you tried Dong Juan restaurant already? Share with me your dining experience... and give me suggestions on what food to try.

Start of Lenten season♥

Ash Wednesday marks the beginning the Lenten season.
This also reminds us that we are from dust and to dust thou shall return.
We should repent and follow the Gospel.

Boar: Year of the Wood Sheep♥

Chinese new year is just around the corner.  I am not a Chinese (but often mistaken as one: have those "Chinita" eyes) but I love reading and watching anything about Feng shui except the movie.  (I use it as a guide - "wala naman mawawala").  I admit I follow some of their traditions: like placing bowl of rice with amulets and coins on the eve of Chinese new year as well as placing pineapple and round fruits on the dining table, angpao envelopes, brass coins in my wallet and etc.  2015 is the year of the wood Sheep (8th sign in the 12 year cycle of animals in Chinese zodiac): I was born under the year of the Boar/Pig (Silver Metal Pig), I hope and pray that this will be a good year for me.

Year of the Sheep starts on February 19, 2015 up to February 7, 2016.

I am not a Feng shui expert so I can only share things that I read and learned for those that were born under my sign.

To "Boars/Pigs" this will be a lucky year for us, so we must put our plan into action (Career-wise).  But we should avoid conflict at work.

Money: money luck is promising to us pigs.  Since we will do well on our careers of course financial benefit  will come after.

Health: We should also guard our health, we will be spending more time and energy on our careers we should also take care of ourselves.

Love:  Good relationship this year, singles (I guess that includes me..hehe) have great chances in meeting  someone.

I have already bought my lucky charms and amulets, re-energized my old ones "Auspicious Mirror" and "Mystic Knot" (for lucky), "Rhino and elephant" (for protection), and I always carry a "Medicine Buddha" card in my wallet for health.

Always remember that there are lucky charms that may be applicable to you last year but not in the coming year.  Like in the year 2013 I needed to have a Tai sui charm for protection.  This year those born in the year of the Ox and Rooster should carry those charms with them.  But there are also charms that you can use every year like the "Auspicious Mirror", "Mystic knot".  (I have learned about this from Ms. Marites Allen).

My new lucky charms this year were:

1. Power elephant with amulet wheel (for luck)
2. The Kalachakra Mandala mirror (for issues and accidents)
3. Bejewelled wishfulfilling horse  (for disappointments) : not in the photo
4. Year of the Boar Mirror (for luck)
Kalachakra Mandala mirror/Power elephant with amulet wheel/Year of the Boar annual Mirror)
Overall: (Applicable to all signs)

*De-clutter your home... Welcome the Sheep to your fresh and clean home.

*Place lucky bamboo, plants and flowers on your home and office work tables since Sheep loves grass and nature.  On one of the articles I read orchids is one of the lucky flowers this year as well as lilies, peonies and remember no roses please because it has thorns.

*Lucky color for the year: Green

I use these charms, cures, beliefs as guides.  I am a very spiritual and prayerful person... I still believe that the Lord will always give us protection and blessings that we need in our everyday lives.
