Tips: For an "Utang-free" (Debt-free) life♥

source: Google (ctto)

Debt or Utang have destroyed many relationships: family, relatives and even friends.  Who does not have "utang"?  Utang (Debt) is not a bad thing.  Don't get me wrong but there are two (2) kinds of debt : 1) Good debt and 2) Bad debt.  Good debt is money owed that can help build your wealth while the latter (Bad debt) refers to a debt that does not give you big financial outcomes.

Here are some of my tips to have a "Utang" free life:

  • Live within your means - spend less on your lifestyle than the income you earn.  Buy only the things you need not your wants.  If you have extra money from your earnings after setting aside funds for savings, paying off your utilities and debts maybe you can give in to your wants. Honestly, when I was younger I experienced this but later on I have realized that I should save more for my future.  Like getting an upgrade for my 1 year old mobile phone because a new mobile phone came out.   I also allowed friends to ride in my credit card, and when they defaulted  I shouldered the payment of the things they bought. Living pay check to pay check is hard, after 4 years of working (before) I don't have any savings.  Then the problem with my credit card came, this became an eye opener for me.  I cut off my credit card and paid everything and decided a full-financial reset.  I opened my first passbook savings account, started saving money every payday.

  • Avoid government, company and personal  loans for unnecessary expenses -  As much as possible avoid applying for SSS (Social Security System), Pag-ibig fund company offered and personal loans for unimportant expenses like buying a new branded bag, for travel, throwing a party for a family member and the like.  If you want to buy something or travel somewhere - save for it. In my case now, I still buy things  I like or want but I make sure that I have enough funds to afford it.  But if you will be going to use the fund to start or grow your business go head.  Borrowing money to pay-off debt is a  no-no also, because that will only increase your liability.    Avoiding debt still goes back to number one - living within your means.  In order to avoid debt you should set up an emergency fund - as the saying goes in Tagalog "Kung may isinuksok any madudukot".  I have also wrote a blog regarding how to set up an emergency fund you can access it by clicking on this link : Emergency fund: What is it and how to set it up?

  • Try to have multiple sources of income - Earning money is limitless especially for those who are hard working. If you have a day job, there are other ways to earn additional income.  If you are good in selling - start an online store, if you love cooking or baking you can  start selling your goodies.  You can also accept art commissions if you are an artist.  There are also a lot of full or part time jobs available online.   You can also try investing your money to banks, stocks and etc but make sure you have a knowledge about them.

I know that getting out of debt is not easy, but when you become debt free and you have savings and investments you will truly enjoy your financial freedom.  Always keep in mind that if you plan to borrow money make sure you have the means to pay them back.

Review: Mr. Paws PH♥

This is a long overdue review.  Mr. Paws Ph is a Pet Grooming Salon and Hotel located in The Grove - Rockwell, Barangay Ugong Pasig city. I first learned about Mr. Paws in January 2021, through Moira dela Torre's Instagram: when I was looking for a grooming salon for Mochi's first haircut.  There are a lot of things I really considered in choosing a pet salon.  My sister had a bad experience with a pet salon near our place because her furbaby died due to a broken skull, and I don't want to experience the same.

  • Grooming by appointment - Since the Covid-19 cases that time was really high, I really opted to find one that is not crowded.  It's really a plus factor that they don't accept walk-ins.  You need to book an appointment for your furbaby's grooming.  You can book here: Mr. Paws Ph - Online Booking.

  • Cleanliness -  Aesthetically the salon was at par.  It's clean and they use organic and high quality cleaning products in the salon that is safe for our pets.  I have seen it myself.  They also maintain the cleanliness in the salon.  They also make sure that the pets who visit their salon have complete and updated vaccination.

Aiguel - Mochi's groomer since February 2021

Mochi's first look after his full grooming - February 2021

Sir Paul and Mochi

  • Friendly and caring staff -  The staff are very friendly, patient and affectionate to the dogs (cats).  They also handle them with utmost care.  That is why Mochi did not have a bad experience with his first hair cut.  He is very at ease when he is in Mr. Paws.  His groomer is Aiguel, he is the one that makes Mochi look absolutely stunning.  But all of the groomers and staff (JR, Vincent and etc) are all nice and caring to pets. Sir Paul, the owner is really very hands-on, he sees to it that our fur babies are well taken cared for.

Mochi first time in the Dry Room

They also use organic, high quality shampoo and cologne for the pets.  And they also have a Pepe Dry Room for the safe drying experience for our beloved fur babies.

Recently they upgraded to hydraulic grooming tables and added new drying equipment.  That is why I love Mr. Paws because they continue to innovate and upgrade their equipment and fixtures to serve their clients better.

From February 2021 until now, Mochi is a loyal Mr. Paws baby.   They recently celebrated their 3rd Anniversary.  I am so glad that Mochi is a  part of Mr. Paws' growing family.  Actually we also recruited his fur-cousins my sister's 6 dogs.

Verdict: ♥♥♥♥♥ out of 5.

Reaching my first $100.00 Google Adsense threshold♥

When the vloggers in YouTube are waiting for their accounts be monetized.  I am so excited for next month because it's my first Adsense payout.  I started my blog in 2005 but in multiply, but when it closed down I shifted to blogspot in 2012.  I started my Adsense account in June 2020, so after two years I have reached the $100.00 payout threshold.  Kinda long (for a payout),  right?! But it's okay.  I am still grateful for it.  Because most of the creators are all in YouTube.  I am happy that there are still people who find it interesting to read blogs.

What is Google Adsense?  It provides the publishers or content creators to earn money from their online content.  Adsense automatically match your ads based on your contents.

I am not yet ready to shift to Vlogging because honestly I am camera shy.  I would rather write and continue sharing things here in my blog at the moment.

Next time, I will share how I signed up with Adsense and how I started earning from the automatic ads in my blog.

Thank you again for visiting my blog and I hope you will continue supporting it.♥

Tidbits : This is actually my 10th year in Blogger! :)
