Pag ibig fund recently announced that the dividend for MP2 Savings for 2022 is 7.03%. Did you know how the earnings or dividends are computed? Honestly, I tried a couple of times finding out how, and I think this is the right time to share how I computed my yearly dividend.
I made an Excel sheet formula computation:
Computation for P1,000.00 contribution per month starting January 2020, with dividend rate of 6.12%.

Formula:
Contribution for the month x Dividend factor x Dividend rate = Amount of Dividend month
January : P1,000.00 x 1.00 (12/12) x 6.12% = P61.20
February: P1,000.00 x 0.92 (11/12) x 6.12% = P56.10
March: P1,000.00 x 0.83 (10/12) x 6.12% = P51.00
April: P1,000.00 x 0.75 (9/12) x 6.12% = P45.90
May: P1,000.00 x 0.67 (8/12) x 6.12% = P40.80
June: P1,000.000 x 0.58 (7/12) x 6.12% = P35.70
July: P1,000.00 x 0.50 (6/12) x 6.12% = P30.60
August: P1,000.00 x 0.42 (5/12) x 6.12% = P25.50
September: P1,000.00 x 0.33 (4/12) x 6.12% = P20.40
